As a vital member of the Global Data Center Operations Team, you will concentrate on delivering comprehensive IT enterprise solutions across multiple Data Centers. The ideal candidate should possess a strong enthusiasm for system administration best practices, contemporary security measures, and IT solutions. Comfort in a dynamic work environment is essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, design, implement, and support extensive global enterprise projects on the IBM pSeries platform until successful completion.
  • Train and support fellow team members on all Midrange technologies.
  • Provide recommendations for Enterprise Architectural design.
  • Demonstrate the ability to simplify and reduce costs across Midrange applications through strategic recommendations.
  • Forecast growth across platforms and suggest hardware scaling solutions.
  • Enhance security, stability, and resilience of large complex Enterprise Systems.
  • Deliver level 3/4 support for critical system challenges related to AIX, Linux, and Enterprise Storage.
  • Execute strategic IT roadmaps for enterprise systems.
  • Identify and recommend solutions to improve system availability and efficiency.
  • Communicate effectively with global leadership.
  • Manage Change, Compliance, and Asset Management Lifecycle processes.
  • Provide 24x7 system support.

Qualifications

  • 4-year degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in the Information Technology sector.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced global environment while managing multiple priorities.
  • Proven skills in IBM AIX and RedHat Linux System Administration.
  • Experience managing Linux in an X86 environment.
  • Familiarity with RedHat Ansible.
  • Working knowledge of various Linux operating systems.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and self-direct.
  • Knowledge of IBM pSeries hardware.
  • Expertise in Data Protection and Enterprise Storage.
