Your Role:

We are on the lookout for a new member to join our Executive Team, aimed at amplifying our impact. Our team members come from a variety of professional backgrounds and possess diverse skills that they contribute daily. We are in search of a proficient project manager who can adeptly support a wide array of internal and external initiatives. The projects you will engage with may necessitate rapid acclimatization to new subjects, making curiosity, collaboration, and quick learning essential traits for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

The Executive Staff member will play a pivotal role in providing essential project support for initiatives identified by the CEO, Chief of Staff, and other organizational leaders. You will work within a social justice-focused organization on projects that encompass intricate business, financial, and operational challenges. Examples of projects include:
  • Monitoring and assisting in prioritizing activities outlined in our Strategic Plan that require resource allocation.
  • Leading the execution and evaluation of an organization-wide Team Climate Survey reflecting Self-Help's core values.
  • Performing financial or data analysis to guide the development of a new loan product or impact area.
Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor's degree and 5 years of relevant professional experience in community development, management consulting, finance, banking, or non-profit/business management, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • A Master's degree in urban planning, public policy, business administration, law, or a related field is preferred.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of financial analysis and strong analytical skills.
  • Proficient project management capabilities.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a proven ability to work effectively across diverse professional, socio-economic, and cultural contexts.
  • A highly resourceful self-starter with a quick learning ability.
  • Capability to initiate and manage multiple projects independently while meeting goals and deadlines.
  • Effective in behind-the-scenes roles, skilled at influencing without direct authority.
  • Awareness of issues affecting low-wealth borrowers and communities, with a commitment to working in a racially and socially diverse environment.
  • Excellent listening skills.
  • A genuine commitment to teamwork and a focus on the development of colleagues, which are core values at Self-Help.
  • Strong proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; data analysis and mapping skills are essential.
  • Willingness to work hours reflective of a senior-level position and travel approximately 10%, which may increase depending on project demands.
