Job Summary

YAI is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Support Staff Assistant to join our team. As a Support Staff Assistant, you will provide essential support to students with special needs, enabling them to fully participate in school activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Student Support: Provide individualized support to assigned students, working closely with teachers and related services teams to achieve student goals.
  • Implementation of IEPs: Assist in the implementation of students' individualized education programs (IEPs) and behavior plans, as directed by supervisors and administrators.
  • Classroom Support: Provide support for students inside and outside the classroom, enabling them to fully participate in school activities.
  • Therapy and Related Services: Assist therapists with related service sessions, transferring and/or positioning students throughout the day.
  • Self-Care Support: Assist students with self-care activities, including using the restroom, basic hygiene, feeding, and other essential tasks.
  • Safety and Security: Ensure the safety and security of assigned students at all times, following all appropriate policies and procedures.
  • Administrative Tasks: Perform other administrative tasks as assigned, including maintaining student supplies and ensuring a clean and organized environment.
Qualification Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience: One to three years of relevant healthcare, childcare, or school-based experience preferred.
  • Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office programs, with excellent organizational and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Education: Associate's degree or coursework in education preferred.
  • Experience: One to three years of relevant healthcare, childcare, or school-based experience preferred.
  • Certifications: First Aid, CPR, and AED certifications preferred.
Compensation and Benefits

$16.50 hourly, with a comprehensive benefits package.
