Job Description

At Early Intervention, we are seeking a dedicated and experienced Special Education and Literacy Support Professional to join our team. As the oldest and largest provider of Special Education Teacher Support Services (SETSS) in New York, we offer a unique opportunity to work with students with diverse needs.

Job Summary:

  • We are seeking a qualified teacher to provide resource-room and push-in contract positions in private schools throughout New York City.
  • These positions require individuals who are capable of working with minimal supervision and are based on a full-time 10-month school year.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality instruction and support to students with disabilities and literacy needs.
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with teachers and other professionals.
  • Work closely with teachers and other staff members to ensure seamless integration of SETSS services.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians to ensure student progress and well-being.

Requirements:

  • MUST possess NY State certification as an intern or as a teacher of students with disabilities (special education) or literacy (reading).
  • NY City's Department of Education clears all of our candidates before they can begin working.
