Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Heavy Duty EVS Team Lead to join our team at FireKeepers Casino Hotel. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for providing guidance and training to our Heavy Duty EVS Team Members, ensuring that our facilities are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Team Leadership: Provide guidance and training to Heavy Duty EVS Team Members to ensure they have the skills and knowledge required to perform their duties effectively.
  • Operations Management: Oversee the daily operations of the Heavy Duty EVS team, ensuring that all tasks are completed to a high standard and that our facilities are maintained in a clean and safe condition.
  • Supply Management: Manage the distribution of keys, radios, and supplies to Heavy Duty EVS Attendants on assigned shifts, ensuring that all equipment is signed out and in properly.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Ensure that all EVS equipment is functioning properly and report any hazardous conditions or broken equipment to the EVS Manager.
  • Quality Control: Continuously monitor all schedules for heavy cleaning and projects to ensure that Team Members are in their assigned areas and have the necessary supplies and equipment to complete the job.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain a weekly cleaning schedule and a daily log of projects and their completion.
  • Training and Development: Reinforce Team Members in the proper techniques of using chemicals and equipment, and provide ongoing training and development opportunities to ensure they have the skills and knowledge required to perform their duties effectively.
Requirements
  • Education: High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience: One year of experience in Heavy Duty EVS or Housekeeping required.
  • Language Skills: Proficiency in written and verbal English communication required.
  • Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw conclusions.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Work is performed throughout all areas of the facility where the noise level varies from quiet to loud depending upon business. Must be able to work in a smoke-filled environment.
