Cloud Security Operations Engineer

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 8 years of experience in automating and integrating tools using Git, Jenkins, Ansible, Ansible Tower, Terraform, and Terragrunt.
  • 8 years of expertise with WebSphere ND, MQ, and Liquibase.
  • 8 years of familiarity with container technologies and orchestration platforms such as PODMAN, Docker, EE/OpenShift, and Rancher.
  • 8 years of experience in integrating Artifactory for managing images, third-party libraries, and other artifacts.
  • 8 years of proficiency in scripting languages including Groovy, Python, Shell, and Ruby.
  • 8 years of experience with operating systems including Linux, Solaris, and Windows.
  • 8 years of knowledge in WebSphere Liberty, Tomcat, and JBOSS.
  • 8 years of experience in containerization and managing DevSecOps tools on Kubernetes using Helm Charts.
  • 8 years of experience in designing automated IT solutions.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3 years of experience in developing and supporting large-scale, mission-critical applications, particularly in transaction processing.
  • 3 years of relevant certification such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect or Developer.
  • 3 years of experience with programming languages and environments including Java, J2EE, EJB, JSP, JSF/Struts, and XML.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Support automation for executing test cases to ensure the health of environments and applications.
  • Engage in the architecture, design, development, and integration of tools and technologies to facilitate comprehensive DevSecOps process automation.
  • Analyze current technology and solutions, developing plans for enhancements and expansions as necessary.
  • Assist in the Application Development Life Cycle for concurrent application development targeting multiple future releases.
  • Document processes and procedures meticulously.
  • Possess a solid automation background in the DevSecOps domain.
  • Provide on-call support during both workdays and weekends for all development, testing, training, and production environments.
  • Ensure high availability for developers, testers, trainers, and production end users.
  • Be responsible for installing, configuring, building, and deploying applications in support of Eligibility Supporting Technology applications.
  • Maintain currency of applications and services across all development, testing, training, and production environments.
  • Involve in the architecture, design, development, and integration of tools and technologies for end-to-end DevSecOps process automation.
  • Facilitate on-demand setup and decommissioning of environments as cohesive units comprising multiple infrastructure components, databases, middleware, messaging, and application layers, all of which require automation and orchestration as part of the DevSecOps pipeline.
  • Implement automation that can be executed on-demand to set up, modify, restore, and decommission environments.
  • Manage multiple instances of standard environments concurrently to support various projects and release levels.
  • Express environments as a set of definition files and scripts in the Git repository for versioning, branching, merging, and governance.
  • Demonstrate past experience in designing and implementing similar initiatives.
  • Utilize approved tools and technologies including Jenkins, Ansible Tower, Ansible, Terraform, and Terragrunt.
  • Support environments for parallel development using Java-based technologies and a mix of modernized and legacy applications running on WebSphere ND and Oracle databases on Red Hat Linux VMs on VMware ESX.
  • Experience with transitioning to JBOSS, containerization, and persistent volumes is advantageous but not mandatory. Support for AWS-based Compute and Storage in place of VMware/VSAN will also be necessary to extend automation capabilities for hybrid data center support.
