Core Responsibilities:

Take ownership of daily operations related to the company's CNAPP and CWP solutions.

Assess, communicate, and resolve vulnerabilities and misconfigurations while fine-tuning policies to maintain high alert accuracy.

Collaborate with cloud account, engineering, and development teams to monitor, manage, and document security vulnerabilities and remediation efforts.

Establish key performance indicators to evaluate the progress and success of the DevSecOps initiatives.

Support the assessment of potential security incidents.

Assist in cybersecurity escalations and change management processes.

Develop runbooks and document security policies and procedures.

Encourage security and privacy by design through effective collaboration with security, cloud account, and engineering teams.

Identify security design deficiencies in current and proposed architectures and suggest enhancements.

Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in a related field or a Bachelor’s degree with 3+ years of professional service experience, or a Master’s degree with 1 year of relevant experience.
  • Proven experience in cloud and container security (AWS, Azure, Anthos, and Kubernetes preferred).
  • Experience with enterprise CNAPP and/or CWP tools (Palo Alto Prisma preferred).
  • Understanding of cloud concepts and network architectures.
  • Familiarity with application architecture and security best practices.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey complex issues to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong collaboration skills to build consensus among cross-functional teams regarding key security risks and vulnerabilities.
  • Ability to develop and implement best practice security processes across diverse teams.
  • Engage with others to create innovative solutions for strategic and operational challenges.
  • Ability to summarize issues clearly and tailor communication for different audiences.
  • Drive project completion and assignments effectively.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in a related field (e.g., Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering) and/or 3 years of experience in a relevant area.
  • Proficiency in automating or scripting repetitive tasks.
  • Experience in a big four consulting firm or Fortune 500 company.
  • Experience in the Telecom/Cable industry.
  • At least one relevant industry certification (CISSP, CISM, CISA).
  • Cloud Provider certifications (Azure, GCP, AWS).
