Position Overview

DataFielder Inc is actively seeking a proficient Lead Cloud Security Architect to join our innovative team.

2) This role operates in a hybrid model, requiring occasional office presence, thus candidates should be located within a reasonable commuting distance.

Role Summary

As a Lead Cloud Security Architect, you will be instrumental in the ongoing configuration and oversight of our cloud security framework, particularly focusing on Microsoft Azure security tools including Microsoft Defender for Cloud Apps, Azure Sentinel SIEM, Defender for Endpoint, and Defender Vulnerability Management.

Your expertise in cloud technologies will be pivotal in driving innovation, enhancing performance, and ensuring the security and dependability of our cloud infrastructure.

This position involves collaboration with various operational teams such as Threat Analysis, Incident Response, Cyber Threat Intelligence, Security Infrastructure, Insider Threat, Red Team, Security Architecture, DevOps, Detection Engineering, Identity Management, and more.

Essential Qualifications

  • A formal background in Information Technology or equivalent experience in IT Security roles is essential.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in cloud security engineering or a related cloud position.
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Defender for Cloud Apps, Azure Sentinel, and Microsoft Defender Vulnerability Management.
  • Experience with SIEM and SOAR solutions is required.
  • Proficient in identifying and addressing security threats and vulnerabilities.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform.
  • Strong understanding of cloud architecture principles, including virtualization, networking, storage, and security.
  • Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities and attention to detail, with a proven track record of troubleshooting complex technical challenges.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with team members and stakeholders.
  • Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or Google Professional Cloud Architect are advantageous.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure solutions on Azure, adhering to security best practices and Mitre detection techniques.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional cloud security teams and the Security Operations Center (SOC).
  • Develop and enforce cloud security best practices, access management protocols, data encryption standards, and threat detection mechanisms.
  • Monitor cloud performance and availability, troubleshoot issues, and optimize resource utilization for cost-effectiveness.
  • Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior cloud engineers, promoting a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.
  • Stay informed about emerging technologies and industry trends in cloud computing, security, and DevOps practices.
