Role Summary

As the Lead DevOps Engineer, you will play a crucial role in architecting, executing, and managing cloud infrastructure leveraging AWS and Azure technologies. Your knowledge will facilitate the smooth integration and deployment of applications, optimize cloud resources, and improve the reliability and scalability of systems. You will be instrumental in driving the DevOps strategy, ensuring that cloud environments are secure, efficient, and consistently available.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cloud Infrastructure Oversight: Design, deploy, and manage AWS and Azure infrastructures, encompassing compute, storage, networking, and security services.
  • Automation & CI/CD Development: Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines to enhance deployment processes, increasing operational efficiency and reducing deployment durations.
  • Performance Monitoring & Resource Optimization: Implement monitoring solutions to assess system performance and reliability, optimizing cloud resources for cost-effectiveness and peak efficiency.
  • Security & Compliance Management: Ensure cloud environments adhere to security best practices and regulatory standards, managing security controls and data protection measures.
  • Collaborative Support: Partner with development, QA, and operations teams to facilitate application deployment and scaling, providing guidance on best practices and troubleshooting.
  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC) Implementation: Utilize tools such as Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or Azure Resource Manager to manage and provision infrastructure through code.
  • Documentation Maintenance: Develop and uphold comprehensive documentation for cloud infrastructure, deployment processes, and best practices.
Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years in a DevOps or related position, with substantial experience in AWS and Azure.
  • Certifications: Preferred certifications include AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional, AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional, and Microsoft Certified: Azure DevOps Engineer Expert.
Technical Skills
  • Proficient in AWS services (e.g., EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC) and Azure services (e.g., VM, Blob Storage, SQL Database, Azure Functions).
  • Strong experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Azure DevOps Pipelines).
  • Expertise in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell).
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Knowledge of infrastructure as code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, Azure Resource Manager).
  • Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, ELK Stack).
