About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse to join our team at Parkland Health and Hospital System. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide exceptional patient care and support to our patients and their families.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care to assigned patients, utilizing independent, dependent, and interdependent interventions to restore stability, prevent complications, and achieve optimal patient responses.
  • Develop and implement individualized plans of care, incorporating evidence-based practices and patient-centered care principles.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care transitions and optimal patient outcomes.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, identifying areas for improvement and implementing evidence-based solutions.
  • Stay current with the latest developments and advancements in Labor and Delivery nursing practice, attending seminars, workshops, and professional conferences as needed.
Requirements
  • Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
  • Two years of Labor and Delivery experience or successful completion of Parkland's Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse Residency Program.
  • Current RN license or valid temporary permit with the Texas Board of Nursing.
  • Current healthcare provider CPR course completion card from a recognized organization.
  • Advanced Life Support (ALS) or Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
  • AWHONN Intermediate Electronic Fetal Monitoring Certificate or National Corporation Certification (NCC) Electronic Fetal Monitoring Certification.
