Position Title: Guest Services Representative

Position Summary: The Guest Services Representative is the face of the hotel, ensuring that guests receive exceptional service throughout their stay. Responsibilities include checking in guests, managing room assignments, accommodating special requests, and facilitating a seamless checkout experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain an accurate inventory of room availability, reservations, and assignments.
  • Possess a comprehensive understanding of the reservations system, including cancellation policies.
  • Be knowledgeable about room types, locations, and rates.
  • Check in guests and assign rooms efficiently.
  • Coordinate with housekeeping to update room statuses, including check-outs and special requests.
  • Collaborate with maintenance to address guest room issues promptly.
  • Utilize effective sales techniques to promote room bookings and hotel services.
  • Stay informed about daily hotel activities and events.
  • Address and resolve guest complaints professionally.
  • Process guest check-outs and manage financial transactions.
  • Ensure guest privacy is maintained at all times.
  • Exhibit a high standard of professional appearance and conduct.
  • Participate in departmental meetings as required.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong communication skills with guests and hotel staff.
  • Familiarity with local attractions and events.
  • Understanding of credit and cash handling procedures.
  • Ability to learn safety and emergency protocols.
  • Proficient in the use of front office technology.
  • Knowledge of proper telephone etiquette.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Job Type: Full-time

Compensation: Starting at $16.00 per hour
