Position Summary: The Guest Services Coordinator plays a crucial role in representing the hotel to guests throughout their stay, ensuring exceptional customer service at every stage. Responsibilities include managing guest registrations, room assignments, accommodating special requests, and facilitating a seamless checkout experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain an accurate inventory of room availability, reservations, and assignments.
  • Possess a thorough understanding of the reservations system, including cancellation policies.
  • Familiarize oneself with room types, locations, and pricing.
  • Register guests upon arrival and assign appropriate accommodations.
  • Coordinate with housekeeping to update room statuses and manage special requests.
  • Collaborate with maintenance to address guest room issues promptly.
  • Utilize effective sales techniques to promote room bookings and hotel services.
  • Stay informed about daily events and activities within the hotel.
  • Report any unusual occurrences or guest requests to management.
  • Handle guest complaints professionally and courteously.
  • Process guest check-outs and manage financial transactions securely.
  • Ensure guest privacy is maintained at all times.
  • Exhibit a high level of professionalism in appearance and conduct.
  • Participate in departmental meetings as required.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong communication skills with guests and staff.
  • Knowledge of local attractions and events.
  • Understanding of credit and cash handling procedures.
  • Ability to learn and apply safety and emergency protocols.
  • Proficient in the use of front office technology.
  • Familiarity with proper telephone etiquette.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Employment Type: Full-time

Compensation: Starting at $16.00 per hour
