Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Engagement: Proactively engage with existing customers and prospects to understand their financial needs and provide personalized advice and guidance.
  • Needs Assessment: Conduct thorough needs assessments to identify financial solutions and preferred banking channels, and recommend tailored solutions to meet customers' needs.
  • Product Knowledge: Stay up-to-date with our personal and small business banking products, practices, and trends, and integrate this knowledge into customer conversations.
  • Risk Management: Apply the risk management framework to protect the Bank's assets and maintain the quality of the lending portfolio in compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Credit Recommendations: Make credit recommendations for personal lending transactions, including home financing, in accordance with sound credit granting principles and Bank policies.
  • Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with the branch team and other BMO partners to deliver a seamless customer experience and achieve business objectives.
  • Continuous Learning: Stay current with the wider financial services marketplace, the legal and regulatory environment, and our commitment to upholding the highest ethical standards.
Requirements
  • Education: Typically between 2-3 years of relevant experience and a post-secondary degree in a related field of study, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience: Experience in financial services, customer service, or sales, with a drive to deliver a personal customer experience.
  • Skills: Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to build rapport and connections with customers, as well as analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge: Working knowledge of personal and small business customer needs and solutions, as well as retail investments and lending products.
