Position Overview:

This role involves the upkeep of current software solutions. The incumbent will contribute to the coding, testing, and debugging of new applications, as well as enhancements to existing systems. Responsibilities include programming in accordance with directives from senior personnel and executing fundamental system integration tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning
  • Engages with users to formulate workflows and optimal practices.
  • Participates in all phases of projects, beginning with initial planning.
Administration
  • Addresses inquiries through various channels including phone and online.
  • Develops and maintains documentation for software/process/support.
  • Forwards more complex feature requests or changes to senior staff or management.
  • Attends team/project meetings.
  • Detects database and software performance issues and implements solutions.
Development
  • Aids in the design, development, and maintenance of software.
  • Conducts testing and debugging of applications.
  • Programs in line with specifications provided by senior staff.
  • Develops software applications that align with internal business needs or external user requirements.
  • Performs tier 3 troubleshooting.
  • Generates reports.
  • Prioritizes assigned tasks effectively.
  • Initiates help tickets with vendors as necessary.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Completion of a full 4-year degree in a recognized institution in fields such as computer science or information technology; or a suitable combination of education and experience.
  • 2-3 years of experience in application software development with expertise in PeopleSoft and business analysis.
  • Proficiency in PeopleSoft HRMS, PeopleTools, Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft SharePoint, Oracle database, SQL, Application Engine, HTML5, JavaScript, PeopleCode, and SQR.
  • Strong analytical, debugging, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies and code documentation.
  • Excellent organizational and teamwork abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related discipline.
  • 1-2 years of practical programming experience.
  • 1-3 years of experience with PeopleCode and PeopleTools.
Preferred Competencies:
  • Proficiency in SQL and troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience in agile scrum team collaboration.
Compensation:
The anticipated salary range for this position is between $80,297 and $93,000 annually. The final salary will be influenced by the applicant's educational background, experience, skills, and internal equity considerations.
