Job Title: Newcomer Family Services Coordinator

The Newcomer Family Services Coordinator plays a crucial role in organizing and facilitating essential resources, collaborating with community partners, and providing comprehensive support to newcomer youth and their families. This position involves close collaboration with educational institutions, coordinating a variety of services, and assessing the unique needs of newcomer students.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in various initiatives as outlined by the Marin County H&HS PEI program Scope of Work
  • Coordinate services from multiple organizations to effectively support newcomers and their families
  • Work alongside schools to identify and meet the needs of newcomer students
  • Participate in meetings and prepare reports as necessary
  • Build positive relationships with students, families, and staff
  • Advocate for the welfare of newcomers
  • Engage in agency committees and activities
  • Complete administrative tasks while ensuring compliance with policies
  • Participate in professional development opportunities
  • Manage budgets and facilitate family engagement events
  • Collaborate efficiently with stakeholders
  • Provide program orientation and maintain regular communication with families
  • Handle administrative and fiscal management responsibilities
  • Ensure all records are accurate and complete
  • Utilize technology for distance learning initiatives
  • Meet all documentation and reporting standards
  • Perform additional assigned duties as needed
Essential Skills:
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds
  • Willingness to travel for required meetings
  • Manage inventory and equipment effectively
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and web-based applications
  • Capable of handling multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
