Site Operations Manager

Sullivan Environmental Services, Inc. is in search of a skilled Site Operations Manager to lead our expanding Housing Division focused on significant civil infrastructure initiatives across the nation. The Site Operations Manager will oversee all construction activities involving subcontractors and in-house teams to guarantee that projects are executed safely, within the designated timeline, budget, and to the highest standards of quality. This role will report directly to the Project Executive or Construction Manager and will frequently engage with Client representatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the Site Operations Manager reporting to the project Construction Manager.
  • Communicate effectively with applicants, contractors, and team members.
  • Conduct inspections in accordance with approved policies, plans, and modifications.
  • Foster positive relationships with all stakeholders involved in the project.
  • Coordinate necessary feedback among all parties, including contractors and the Construction Manager.
  • Notify the Construction Manager promptly of any deviations from the schedule.
  • Ensure contractor adherence to site safety protocols and report any unsafe conditions immediately.
  • Facilitate weekly (or daily if required) construction meetings to address and resolve outstanding issues.
  • Ensure the completion of daily, weekly, and monthly reports accurately and punctually.
  • Maintain the highest levels of professionalism and respect on-site at all times.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Construction Manager.
  • Lead Safety Toolbox meetings with contractors.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.
Position Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience as a Site Operations Manager in scattered lot developments.
  • A degree in construction management or a related engineering field is highly preferred.
  • OSHA 10-hour or 30-hour certification is strongly desired.
  • Proficiency in computer applications and MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel) is required.
  • A comprehensive understanding of legal and safety regulations is essential.
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken, is required.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent time management and organizational abilities.
  • Capacity to manage daily pressures effectively.
  • Ability to successfully pass background and security checks is required.
  • Willingness to travel extensively to various job sites.
  • Experience with HUD, CDBG, or HUD CDBG-DR is a plus.
  • Being bilingual is an advantage.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to utilize manual dexterity, visual, and auditory acuity.
  • Engagement in repetitive motions, prolonged periods of sitting and standing, and sustained visual and mental focus.
  • Occasional lifting of up to 40 pounds, bending, pulling, and carrying.
  • Mathematical skills for standard measurements and calculations.
  • Capability to work safely in outdoor construction environments.
