Under general oversight and in alignment with established company protocols, the Multi-Store Manager (MSM) engages in management functions (staffing, productivity, tax preparation, and marketing) across multiple offices within a designated district. This role oversees the daily operations of seasonal team members assigned to various store locations, driving performance at each site to enhance the efficiency of tax preparer activities and boost revenue and profitability.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Directs recruitment initiatives and oversees the interviewing process for seasonal staff within the assigned area, managing leads from various sources.
  • Evaluates team performance to ensure compliance with quality benchmarks, deadlines, and procedural guidelines, addressing any discrepancies or issues.
  • Reviews and authorizes work schedules and timecard submissions, monitors time tracking during shifts, and collaborates with upper management on employee relations matters and training.
  • Ensures that all assigned locations adhere to company standards, including office setup, technology installation, and maintenance of supplies and facilities. Maintains positive relationships with property managers.
  • Provides support to employees in navigating complex issues or resolving escalated complaints.
  • Monitors financial performance indicators, including GL & P&L metrics, and is accountable for achieving all office objectives related to revenue, cash management, and tax return processing.
  • Oversees daily reporting and return processing activities.
Qualifications for Success:
  • High School Diploma/GED or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Preferred coursework in management, tax preparation, or accounting.
  • A minimum of two years of prior management or supervisory experience is required.
  • Proficient in various software applications, including email, internet browsers, Word, Excel, and tax preparation software.
  • Prior experience in tax preparation and possession of a PTIN (Preparer Tax Identification Number) is required.
