The Opportunity

This position is an exciting opportunity to join the Abbott team as a Legal/OEC Administrative Assistant, working onsite in our Alameda, CA office in the Legal Division.

As a key member of the team, you will provide administrative support to the Legal organization, including DVPs, attorneys, directors, and other team members.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive support to the Divisional Vice President (DVP) of Legal Operations and others within the team, as assigned, with occasional need for overtime support
  • Manage calendars, create and modify business documents, manage department meetings and processes, schedule travel, process expense reports, and answer phones
  • Utilize advanced software skills, including Microsoft Office Suite and other business-specific software, to effectively support the organization
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with high-level executives and cross-functional teams
  • Conduct onboarding activities, including workspace set-ups for new employees
  • Prioritize workload to ensure departmental support needs are fulfilled

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent, some college preferred
  • 5+ years of previous administrative experience or equivalent is required
  • Advanced experience in Microsoft Office Suite, intermediate Excel, and SAP, Concur experience preferred
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with high level of integrity and professionalism
