Position Overview:

As an Entry-Level Financial Program Analyst, you will leverage your analytical skills to assess, track, and manage project financial data to support both internal and external reporting requirements. Your role will involve the preparation of budgets and timelines for contractual projects, as well as assisting in cost proposal development, pricing documentation, and conducting 'what-if' cost analyses, alongside program cost forecasts and variance assessments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Generate pricing documentation essential for proposal creation, including detailed program cost analyses.
  • Assist in formulating payment schedules (Milestone, CLIN Liquidation, etc.) to ensure financial compliance.
  • Support the application of product-oriented or Business Area-specific work breakdown structures (WBS), including responsibility assignment matrices, WBS dictionaries, milestones, and project budgeting.
  • Facilitate the timely completion of Program Management Plans (PMPs) and program baselines during contract negotiations, ensuring budgets align with program baselines and do not exceed contract values.
  • Collaborate with Program Managers (PMs) and Associate Program Managers (APMs) to finalize program status updates and forecasts, leading to accurate program and resource projections.
  • Develop management reports highlighting exceptions for senior management review and generate necessary cost performance reports as required by contracts.
  • Notify the Contracts department regarding any limitations on costs or funds as stipulated by contractual agreements.
  • Provide guidance and reporting on Earned Value Management in accordance with established internal processes and external requirements.
  • Engage in role-specific working groups to enhance processes and tools relevant to the Program Financial Analyst function.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field, with typically 0-2 years of relevant experience.
  • A higher-level degree may substitute for experience.
  • Related experience may be considered in lieu of the required education.
  • Strong communication skills to convey programmatic and financial information effectively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
  • Experience in forecast analysis and budget management.
  • Ability to analyze and communicate programmatic and financial data clearly.
  • Proactive approach to ensure the quality and timeliness of deliverables.
  • Resourcefulness and effective problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced expertise in Excel, including PivotTables and VLOOKUP functions.
  • Experience with Earned Value Management.
  • Master’s Degree in a relevant field.
  • Familiarity with VBA and financial modeling techniques.

Compensation: Estimated starting salary ranges from $59,935.70 to $82,411.59.
