Position Overview:

As a Junior Financial Program Analyst, you will leverage your analytical skills to assess, oversee, and manage project financial data, supporting both internal and external reporting requirements. Your role will involve crafting budgets and timelines for contractual obligations, as well as assisting in cost proposals, pricing documentation, scenario-based cost evaluations, program cost projections, and variance analysis. Your contributions will be vital in ensuring that project costs and schedules remain aligned with contractual expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare pricing documentation for proposal development, including scenario-based program cost evaluations.
  • Assist in the formulation of payment schedules (Milestone, CLIN Liquidation, etc.).
  • Support the application of product-oriented or Business Area-specific work breakdown structures (WBS), including responsibility assignment matrices, WBS dictionaries, milestones, baseline establishment, and project/task budgeting.
  • Facilitate the timely completion of Program Management Plans (PMPs) and program baselines during Contract Negotiation Reviews, ensuring budgets align with program baselines and do not exceed contract values.
  • Collaborate with Program Managers (PMs) and Associate Program Managers (APMs) to finalize program status updates and forecasts, leading to accurate program and resource projections.
  • Develop management exception reports and analyses for senior management review, generating required cost performance reports.
  • Notify the Contracts department regarding cost or funding limitations as stipulated by the contract.
  • Provide guidance and reporting on Earned Value Management in accordance with established internal processes and external requirements.
  • Engage in role-specific working groups.
  • Collaborate with other Business Areas and Corporate Functional groups to enhance processes and tools relevant to the Program Financial Analyst role.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field, with typically 0-2 years of relevant experience.
  • A higher-level degree may substitute for experience.
  • Related experience may be considered in lieu of required education.
  • Strong communication skills for conveying programmatic and financial information effectively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
  • Experience in Forecast Analysis and Budget Management.
  • Ability to analyze and communicate programmatic and financial data effectively.
  • Proactive approach to ensure quality and timeliness of deliverables.
  • Resourcefulness and effective problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Expertise in Excel, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP functions.
  • Experience with Earned Value Management.
  • Master's Degree.
  • VBA experience.
  • Financial modeling skills.

Compensation: Estimated starting salary ranges from $59,935.70 to $82,411.59.
