Key Responsibilities:

The Portfolio Credit Risk Analyst will play a crucial role in delivering analytical and data-driven support concerning credit, concentration, and counterparty risk within our portfolio. This position involves both recurring tasks and project-based assignments, necessitating meticulous attention to detail. A solid understanding of SQL, SSIS, and database principles is essential, along with the capability to document and adhere to established procedures. The role demands independent problem-solving skills, adaptability to shifting priorities, a sense of urgency, timely execution, and the ability to manage diverse projects. A foundational knowledge of banking concepts and a willingness to learn new technologies are also required.

Desired Qualifications:

Proficient in SQL for analyzing extensive datasets related to credit, concentration, and counterparty risk. Capable of creating and utilizing existing tables, views, stored procedures, and SSIS packages in daily operations. Collaborate closely with team members and internal departments to ensure precise risk evaluations and effective risk management strategies. Develop and maintain dashboards and reports utilizing Tableau to illustrate risk metrics and trends. Assist in establishing portfolio-level limits in conjunction with business lines, ensuring compliance with the limit framework and alignment with strategic objectives. Aid in the development, implementation, and monitoring of risk appetite measures, KPIs, and early warning indicators. Recommend process enhancements, secure approvals, document changes, and implement upgrades. Complete assigned projects, which may involve individual or team efforts, including acquiring new data sources, defining/documenting necessary transformations, writing load scripts, and conducting testing. Apply technical expertise and software knowledge to tackle complex projects. Proficient in the Microsoft suite of technologies, including Visual Studio and Management Studio. Manage a pipeline of data and process-related projects, identifying and addressing obstacles while adhering to designated timelines. Utilize strong communication skills to keep management, team members, and stakeholders informed about project progress.

Essential Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Management, Economics, Finance, Statistics, MIS, or a related field. 1-3+ years of technical experience with ETL processes, demonstrating expert or near-expert level SQL proficiency and proficiency with SSIS. Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Pivot Tables. 1-3+ years of experience in the Banking or Financial Services sector is preferred. Progress toward CFA, CPA, CAIA, CFM, DBA, or other relevant designations is preferred.
