Position Overview:

The Senior Acquisition Analyst plays a pivotal role in shaping acquisition strategies within the Department of Defense (DoD) adaptive acquisition framework. This position involves comprehensive research, analysis, and coordination of acquisition program documentation tailored to specific adaptive acquisition pathways, which include the development of acquisition strategies, program baselines, and decision memoranda.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Formulate and implement effective acquisition strategies aligned with DoD guidelines.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of acquisition program documentation to ensure compliance and effectiveness.
  • Foster and maintain collaborative relationships with key external stakeholders, including Resource Sponsors, Requirements Officers, and Operational Test Authorities, to facilitate successful program execution.
  • Ensure adherence to DoD 5000 series instructions and contracting methodologies, utilizing knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR).
  • Monitor and track action items and comments related to acquisition documentation to ensure timely resolution.
  • Identify and address programmatic issues and risks, contributing to the development of status updates and presentations for program leadership and external stakeholders.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in DoD acquisitions or contract management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.
  • Strong ability to manage multiple priorities independently in a dynamic environment.
  • Possession of a Secret clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting acquisition programs within the Navy.
  • In-depth knowledge of DoD acquisition processes and interactions across various functional areas, including contracting, budgeting, engineering, and testing.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational capabilities.
  • Relevant contracting or project management certifications from DoD or industry.

Clearance Requirements:

Selected candidates will undergo a security investigation and must meet eligibility criteria for access to classified information; a Secret clearance is mandatory.

The compensation for this position is influenced by various factors, including location, education, skills, and experience. The anticipated salary range for this role is between $75,600 and $172,000 annually. This range reflects the typical salary for this position and is one aspect of Booz Allen's overall compensation strategy.

Work Environment:

Our culture emphasizes flexibility and collaboration, whether in-person or remote. Depending on the position's classification, you may work from a Booz Allen facility or a client site as needed.
