Job Overview

Position Summary

The ideal Acquisition Support Specialist will offer expert technical review and advisory assistance in collaboration with Government Contracting Officers, adhering to the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and established client policies. This role demands a dedicated approach to the evaluation process and teamwork with the Government Acquisition Team, which includes Contracting Officers, Contract Specialists, and Program Management personnel.

Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities will encompass, but are not limited to:

  • Participating in Evaluation Training sessions.
  • Receiving guidance on Ethics Considerations, Conflict of Interest, Procurement Integrity Act, and the roles and responsibilities of Evaluators.
  • Establishing system accounts and attending relevant training sessions.
  • Reviewing solicitation documents, focusing on Sections L and M.
  • Ensuring the secure storage of all evaluation-related notes and files as directed by the Contracting Officer.
  • Conducting thorough reviews and assessments of technical quote submissions against approved evaluation criteria.
  • Providing independent recommendations in the form of draft scores for Government review.
  • Identifying the necessity for Clarifications or Discussions based on an independent evaluation of proposals.
  • Attending evaluation meetings to address pertinent topics.
  • Responding to inquiries from Contracting Officers or Contract Specialists.
  • Documenting findings and validations as requested by the Contracting Officer or Contract Specialist.
  • Delivering technical review evaluation scores and advisory notes in Symphony.
  • Sharing insights and lessons learned from technical quote reviews with the Project Manager.
  • Updating the overall tracking sheet and reporting review status to the Contracting Officer or Contract Specialist.
Qualifications

Applicants should possess:

  • A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of eight (8) years of federal contracting experience, including four years in technical evaluation for large multiple award contracts.
  • FAC-C Level III or DAWIA Level III certification (preferred).
  • Proficiency with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR).
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • The ability to engage professionally and collaboratively with colleagues, demonstrating decorum and discretion.
  • Self-motivation, quick learning ability, and the capacity to complete tasks with minimal supervision.
  • U.S. Citizenship.
  • Eligibility for favorable adjudication of security screening/background investigation.
