ROLE SUMMARY

The ideal Acquisition Support Specialist will engage in technical review and advisory functions in collaboration with Government Contracting Officers, adhering to the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and organizational policies. This role demands a dedicated approach to the evaluation process and teamwork with the Government Acquisition Team, including Contracting Officers, Contract Specialists, and Program Management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in Evaluation Training sessions.
  • Receive guidance on Ethics Considerations, Conflict of Interest, Procurement Integrity Act, and the roles and responsibilities of Evaluators.
  • Create system accounts and attend necessary training sessions.
  • Review solicitation documents, focusing on Sections L and M.
  • Ensure all evaluation-related notes and files are securely stored as directed by the Contracting Officer.
  • Conduct thorough reviews and assessments of technical quote submissions against established evaluation criteria.
  • Provide independent feedback in the form of draft scores for Government review.
  • Advise on the necessity for Clarifications or Discussions based on an independent evaluation of proposals.
  • Attend evaluation meetings to discuss pertinent topics.
  • Address inquiries from the Contracting Officer or Contract Specialist.
  • Document findings and validation as specified by the Contracting Officer or Contract Specialist.
  • Deliver technical review evaluation scores and advisory notes using Symphony.
  • Share insights and lessons learned from technical quote reviews with the Project Manager.
  • Maintain the status in the overall tracking sheet and report on review progress to the Contracting Officer or Contract Specialist.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution or equivalent experience.
  • Eight (8) years of experience in federal contracting, including four years focused on technical evaluations for large multiple award contracts.
  • Preferred certifications: FAC-C Level III or DAWIA Level III.
  • Proficiency with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) is essential.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to engage professionally and collaboratively with colleagues, demonstrating decorum and discretion.
  • Self-motivated, quick learner capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • Ability to pass security screening/background investigation.
