Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Environmental Professional to join our team at Energy Northwest. As an Environmental Specialist/Scientist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety of our facilities and protecting human health and the environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement, and administer environmental programs to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Provide technical advice and counsel to management on complex environmental regulatory issues.
  • Interface with state and federal regulatory agencies, including participation in audits, inspections, and assessments.
  • Coordinate with other Energy Northwest organizations to ensure environmental monitoring requirements are met and reported.
  • Develop plans for programs, projects, audits, testing, and inspections; lead audits and inspections.
  • Perform regulatory analysis and notify appropriate organizations of changes in environmental regulations.
  • Monitor plant events for impact on regulatory requirements and provide assistance in determining reportability.
  • Provide technical guidance to other engineers and serve as a mentor.
  • Integrate design, regulatory, operating, maintenance, and administrative requirements into tasks.
  • Participate on the Emergency Response Organization (ERO) and support the biennial refueling outage.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Chemistry, Biological Science, or related technical field from an accredited college or university.
  • Three years of experience in an environmental related field for Environmental Scientist position.
  • Valid driver's license for Environmental Specialist position.
Benefits
  • Competitive salary range: $90,048 - $135,072 for Environmental Scientist and $78,354 - $117,530 for Environmental Specialist.
  • Midpoint salary: $112,560 for Environmental Scientist and $97,942 for Environmental Specialist.
  • Eligibility to participate in our annual incentive plan.
