Position Overview:

We are currently seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to enhance our dynamic team.

Compensation ranges from $115,000 to $140,000 annually, with comprehensive benefits.

PBS is in search of a highly driven project engineer eager to lead civil engineering design initiatives and guide our civil design teams. This role will cater to a varied portfolio of public and private clients, necessitating individuals who are enthusiastic about client interaction and relationship development in the marketplace. Many of our projects are multidisciplinary, aiming to leverage the full spectrum of services offered by PBS. Essential Qualifications:

  • A bachelor's degree in civil engineering and professional registration (Washington and/or Oregon) is mandatory.
  • 7-10+ years of experience as a consulting engineer, focusing on design and project management of land development and municipal projects.
  • A robust understanding of civil design and construction standards, as well as environmental conditions and constraints.
  • A proven track record of meeting project deadlines and budgets.
  • Familiarity with local regulatory requirements.
  • Adaptability and creativity in engineering methodologies.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, hydrology modeling, and MS software applications.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with clients, staff, and management.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in management, leading and supervising teams.
  • Background in marketing, proposal writing, and project procurement.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan, oversee, and design civil engineering projects.
  • Coordinate project requirements and deliverables with other PBS discipline leads and business units.
  • Lead design staff as the principal engineer on project tasks.
  • Provide leadership in efficient and constructible design of civil projects.
  • Establish and maintain client relationships, ensuring satisfaction and alignment with client objectives.
  • Engage in business development initiatives.
  • Participate in professional organizations and events.
  • Mentor junior professionals.
  • Estimate and budget labor hours for design projects; review job costing reports.
  • Manage project financials and billing processes.
