ROLE OVERVIEW:


As a Patient Services Coordinator / Medical Office Receptionist, your responsibilities will include patient registration, appointment scheduling, and managing clinical inquiries for various practices and facilities.


WORK SCHEDULE:

Full Time Monday - Friday 8 AM - 5 PM with one evening shift extending until 5:30 PM.

COMPENSATION:
**Competitive hourly wage (commensurate with experience) paid bi-weekly.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
To succeed in this role, an individual must effectively perform each essential function with or without reasonable accommodations.
- Welcome patients, handling registration and scheduling as needed.
- Manage and direct clinical inquiries appropriately.
- Assist patients with necessary documentation.
- Keep the work area and waiting room tidy and organized.
- Escalate questions or issues to the appropriate personnel as necessary.
- Meet departmental productivity standards.
- Maintain knowledge of billing procedures to assist medical staff.
- Understand the services offered by practitioners and the facility.
- Enter referral details as required.
- Organize and retrieve medical records as needed.
- Exhibit regular and dependable attendance.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 0-1 year of customer service experience in a call center, healthcare, or retail setting.

- Ability to request payment from patients at the time of service.
- Proficient in navigating multiple computer systems simultaneously.

- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Applications.

The employee may occasionally lift, push, pull, or move up to 20 pounds. Repetitive motion of the upper body is necessary for prolonged computer use.

Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.


WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Operates in a well-lit, ventilated, and climate-controlled office setting equipped with standard office equipment; some equipment may have moving mechanical parts.
The noise level in the work environment is typical for an office and/or medical clinic setting.
