Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Community Manager to join our team at NHE, Inc. as a key member of our Affordable Management Business Unit.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the overall fiscal accountability, marketing, development, and regulatory compliance of assigned tax credit (LIHTC) or Section 8 communities.
  • Supervise onsite staff, including hiring, staffing, wage reporting, re-certifications, marketing, accounts receivable, collections, and leasing.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations, including LIHTC Section 42, HUD Section 8/PRAC/HAP, HOME, HTF, and Fair Housing Laws.
  • Prepare and participate in management reviews and physical inspections from third parties, local or state housing authorities, and/or HUD.
  • Develop and implement effective staff training programs to ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
  • Collaborate with Regional Property Managers to recruit, interview, and train community staff positions.
Requirements
  • SC Property Manager's License or PMIC License is required.
  • Affordable/Tax Credit (LIHTC) management experience is preferred.
  • Knowledge of apartment management laws and regulations on a federal, state, and local level.
  • Knowledge of expense control and financial management.
  • Valid driver's license or means of immediate transportation to attend meetings, events, and daily activities.
