The House Supervisor is a key member of the clinical leadership team at Grand Strand Health, responsible for coordinating and supervising hospital and patient care services. This role requires a strong focus on patient-centered care, effective staff utilization, and fiscal accountability.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure effective utilization of staff within staffing guidelines, taking into consideration staff competency and patient acuity.
- Provide leadership for clinical excellence, personnel and resource management, and maintenance of positive working relationships with internal and external customers.
- Make decisions, authorize, and act in the absence of department management and/or hospital administration.
- Evaluate staff performance and work-related behavior, utilizing effective coaching to enhance employee performance.
- Model leadership behavior, set expectations for teamwork, and hold staff accountable for performance.
- Demonstrate effectiveness in planning for future needs through strategic planning, compliance, and quality improvement.
- Must be a graduate from an accredited school of Nursing: Associate's Degree in Nursing or higher is required.
- Must be licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state which you practice and/or hold an active Compact/Multi-State RN license.
- A current American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider is required.
- A current American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Health Care Provider is required.
- 2+ years of supervisory/leadership experience is preferred.
