Job Summary

Empyreal Logistics is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Warehouse Coin Handler to join our team. As a key member of our cash processing center, you will be responsible for the accurate processing of incoming and outgoing coins.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coin Processing: Safely operate and maintain coin processing equipment to ensure optimal functionality.
  • Inventory Management: Accurately and efficiently count and log coin shipments using our Logistics software system.
  • Physical Handling: Handle and sort coin bags weighing up to 50 pounds, with consistent lifting capabilities of 50-75 pounds.
  • Storage and Organization: Manage the proper storage of pallets and skids containing boxed and bagged coins.
  • Cash Management: Oversee the Federal Reserve Coin inventory.
  • Shipping and Receiving: Prepare and palletize incoming and outgoing coin shipments.
  • Equipment Operation: Lift bulk coins repetitiously, using equipment such as hand carts or manual pallet jacks.
  • Support Services: Assist the management team in preparing and loading currency/coin orders for delivery.
  • Quality Control: Ensure precise counting and tracking of all vault assets.
  • Confidentiality: Maintain the safety and confidentiality of negotiable records.
  • Communication: Communicate any delays, issues, concerns, or problems promptly to the supervisor/manager.
  • Work Environment: Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
  • Technical Skills: Utilize various equipment, including a PC with keyboard and barcode scanner, coin sorter/counter, calculator, copier, scanner, fax, telephone, and printer.
  • Physical Demands: Adaptability to continuous hours of standing or sitting, with occasional stooping, kneeling, or crouching.
  • Work Environment: Work efficiently in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures and limited exposure to outside light.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Experience: One or more years of teller, cash vault teller, cage cashier or equivalent cash handling experience is preferred.
  • Skills: Excellent math skills and accuracy are required.
  • Technical Skills: Must be able to use a computer and other cash processing equipment.
  • Personal Qualities: Trustworthiness and the ability to act with integrity are of utmost importance.
Physical Requirements
  • Lifting: Lifting 30 pounds and sometimes up to 50 pounds, as needed.
  • Sitting and Standing: Sitting or standing for prolonged periods of time.
  • Mobility: Moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one workstation to another.
  • Pushing and Pulling: Pushing or pulling.
  • Reaching: Reaching overhead, and at or below shoulder level.
  • Keyboard and Mouse: Use of keyboard and mouse.
  • Repetitive Motions: Repeating motions, which includes the wrist, hands, and or fingers.
  • Stooping and Kneeling: Stoop, crouch, or kneel.
  • Near Visual Acuity: Near visual acuity.
  • Stairs: Use of stairs.
  • Communication: Communicating with others to exchange information.
