Job Summary:

UCLA Health is seeking a skilled Patient Service Representative to provide exceptional support to our physicians and patients. As a key member of our team, you will serve as a liaison between patients and physicians, ensuring seamless communication and coordination of care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a liaison for patients and physicians, facilitating communication and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Assist patients in accessing services within the health system, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Facilitate communication with referring physicians, ensuring accurate and timely information exchange.
  • Refer patients to appropriate resources and provide follow-up support through telephone and electronic communication.

Requirements:

  • Ability to establish and maintain productive working relationships with faculty, staff, administration, and patients from diverse backgrounds.
  • Strong verbal communication skills to convey complex information in formal and informal settings.
  • Ability to interact diplomatically and sympathetically with patients in varying degrees of health.
  • Working knowledge of patient-related policies and procedures, as well as a thorough understanding of the University system and its services and programs.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of specific specialty practice and workflows.
  • Working knowledge of hospital computer systems and personal computer systems, including software products for administrative work.
  • Familiarity with authorization processes and managed care programs.
