About the Team:
This role presents an exciting opportunity to lead the Global People Business Partner (PBP) team, Project Management Office (PMO), and HR Communications.

You will report directly to the Chief Human Resource Officer and act as a strategic ally to department leaders, ensuring equitable treatment of employees in accordance with company policies.

Your focus will be on balancing business objectives with employee advocacy.

Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with business leaders and engage closely with department heads and executives to grasp their specific needs and challenges. You will translate these requirements into actionable HR strategies and initiatives.
Design and execute HR programs encompassing various aspects from onboarding to performance management and employee relations. HR Business Partners ensure these programs are effective, compliant, and in harmony with the organization's culture.

Offer expert guidance and coaching, along with specialized knowledge on a broad spectrum of HR topics, including compensation and benefits, legal compliance, and employee engagement.

Serve as a trusted advisor and confidential resource for employees and leaders to address concerns, brainstorm solutions, and navigate complex situations.

Oversee and lead a global team of approximately 25 professionals.

Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Industrial Labor Relations, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
A minimum of 10 years of relevant HR experience, including employee relations, organizational development, and/or labor relations.
At least 4 years of experience in leading a human resources team.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Conflict resolution capabilities.
Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Proficient supervisory and leadership skills.
Comprehensive knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.

The salary range mentioned is applicable only to positions based in New York City.

As with all roles, Medidata establishes ranges based on various factors including function, level, candidate expertise and experience, and geographic location.

Compensation for candidates in locations outside New York City may vary based on local market data.

The base salary range for this position is $216,000 to $260,000.


Base pay is one component of the Total Rewards that Medidata offers to recognize and compensate employees for their contributions.

Many sales roles are eligible for commissions based on applicable plan documents, and numerous non-sales positions may qualify for annual bonuses.
