Key Responsibilities:
This position as a Diesel Powertrain Calibration Specialist entails evaluating, testing, and enhancing vehicle characteristics.

Adjust vehicle and powertrain calibrations to fulfill requirements such as emissions standards, drivability, performance metrics, diagnostics, fuel efficiency, and noise, vibration, and harshness (NVH). This may involve work on vehicles and/or within engine dynamometer testing facilities.

Responsibilities may include a focus on engine combustion parameters, SCR aftertreatment processes, DPF regeneration modes, temperature regulation, CAN communications, and diagnostics calibration based on rigorous statistical analysis.

Conduct data analysis and develop regression model calibrations using extensive data sets, and effectively communicate findings.

Collaborate with software algorithm providers (both internal and external) to assess new functionalities prior to the development phase.

Calibrate and approve features for upcoming model year Diesel programs.

Document progress and methodologies utilized for calibration and validation of features within assigned duties.

Utilize models and simulations to minimize testing requirements and optimize powertrain calibrations.

This role may necessitate travel to remote development sites for vehicle testing, with an estimated duration of two weeks per trip and three trips annually.

Qualifications:
Proficient problem-solving abilities to resolve complex system challenges.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Exceptional data analysis skills, including a solid understanding of statistical methods.

A collaborative team player who thrives in a cross-functional environment.

A valid driver's license is required.

Educational Requirements:
A Bachelor's degree in Engineering (BSME, BSEE, BSAE, BS Chemical Engineering, BSE Computer Science, BS Computer Engineering) is essential.
