Powertrain Quality Assurance Engineer

Position Summary:
- Oversee the Critical Supplier Process to enhance Supplier Quality Reject (QR) performance metrics.
- Engage in Quality Assessments and participate in designated sub-system PRT (Powertrain Variability Reduction Team) discussions.
- Facilitate the resolution of external supplier process warranty issues, specifically 3MIS and 0MIS concerns.
- Support QR protocols by assisting in concern categorization, evaluating threshold QRs, and aiding in QR Dispute resolution.
- Collaborate with the Incoming Quality (IQ) team to address non-compliant suppliers. Aid suppliers and manufacturing facilities in ensuring accuracy of QR/PPM (Parts Per Million) data.
Required Skills:
- Manage part quality confirmation processes for suppliers with recurring containment failures.
- Lead containment efforts for special-cause supplier process 3MIS and 0MIS BSAQ (Balanced Single Agenda for Quality) initiatives.
- Coordinate with PRT on Supplier Process (SP) BSAQ challenges regarding Glidepath values.
- Provide early alerts and engage the STA Site team regarding potential Stop Shipments linked to supplier processes (SP).
- Assist in managing supplier Stop Ship issues and support the Site STA team with suspect materials / Vehicles On-Hold and tracking of release processes.
- Collaborate with Stop Ship stakeholders to ensure accurate root cause analysis for Prevent Action Closure (PAC) reporting.
- Monitor daily production reports (DPR) and notify STA management of issues necessitating Site STA team attention or intervention.
- Act as a representative for suppliers, serving as a liaison between STA and manufacturing management.
- Contribute to Daily Plant Quality Meetings (PIC Room) to discuss containment of Supplier Process warranty issues, engage in PRT forums, and prepare suppliers for PQRs (Powertrain Quality Review).
Experience Required:
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in Plant Manufacturing.
- Proven ability to create and present materials to senior leadership under tight deadlines.
Educational Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science in Engineering or a related technical/manufacturing field.
