Role Responsibilities:

The Powertrain & Electrified Controls division is in search of a skilled and forward-thinking Control Systems Engineer. This role focuses on the design, development, and validation of control systems for various automotive applications, including A/C, Alternator, Starting, Thermal Systems, and Vehicle Propulsive Systems. You will collaborate with a talented team to create innovative technologies that improve drivability, fuel efficiency, emissions, and overall user satisfaction.

  • Engage with interdisciplinary teams to implement control systems tailored for automotive solutions.
  • Perform testing, validation, and enhancement of control systems in automotive contexts.
  • Evaluate data, pinpoint challenges, and devise strategies to improve software functionality and efficiency.
  • Remain informed about industry developments and innovations in automotive control systems.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Control Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 3 years of demonstrated experience in the integration of control systems for automotive purposes.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as C/C++, MATLAB, or Simulink.
  • Strong analytical capabilities and problem-solving aptitude.
  • Exceptional communication, collaboration, and project management skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with vehicle powertrain systems and diagnostic standards.
  • Experience with development and diagnostic tools.
  • Prior involvement in creating algorithms for powertrain control.
  • Knowledge of hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) and software-in-the-loop (SIL) testing techniques.
  • Experience with data analysis and visualization tools for development and validation purposes.

Experience:

  • 2-3 years of relevant experience.

Educational Background:

  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering.
