Position Overview:
As a Powertrain Reliability Engineer, you will play a crucial role in enhancing supplier quality performance. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the Critical Supplier Process to improve Supplier Quality Reject (QR) metrics.
  • Participating in Quality Reviews and engaging in sub-system PRT (Powertrain Variability Reduction Team) meetings.
  • Addressing external supplier process issues related to warranty concerns, specifically 3MIS and 0MIS.
  • Supporting QR procedures by managing concern binning, reviewing threshold QRs, and assisting in QR Dispute resolution.
  • Collaborating with the Incoming Quality (IQ) department to address non-responsive suppliers and ensure data accuracy for QR/PPM (Parts Per Million).

Key Responsibilities:
Your role will also involve:

  • Coordinating the part quality confirmation process for suppliers with recurring containment failures.
  • Leading containment efforts for special-cause supplier processes and managing BSAQ (Balanced Single Agenda for Quality) projects.
  • Aligning with PRT on Supplier Process (SP) BSAQ issues to achieve Glidepath values.
  • Providing early notifications to the STA Site team regarding potential Stop Shipments related to supplier processes.
  • Assisting the Site STA team with suspect material and managing the Vehicles On-Hold and release process.
  • Collaborating with Stop Ship stakeholders to ensure accurate root cause analysis for Prevent Action Closure (PAC) reporting.
  • Monitoring daily production reports and notifying STA management of issues requiring intervention.
  • Acting as a liaison between STA and manufacturing plant management to facilitate communication.

Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you should possess:

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in Plant Manufacturing.
  • The ability to develop and present materials to senior leadership effectively.

Educational Background:
