Position Summary:

The Senior Manager, Operations Planning and Control operates under general administrative guidance, overseeing the scheduling and execution of the company's outsourced production network. This role is pivotal in managing the planning and flow of information for manufacturing operations at Contract Manufacturers (CM) and Re-pack Facilities. The incumbent will be responsible for both short-term and long-term production planning to align with Patco Brands' sales forecasts, cost management, and budget oversight, ensuring the efficient movement of raw and finished goods.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Formulate a cohesive production strategy that integrates inputs from demand forecasting, procurement, and Contract Manufacturers to achieve operational and financial objectives.
  • Guarantee accurate and timely entry of all production data into the management system.
  • Serve as an expert on Bill of Materials (BOM) configurations and associated production processes.
  • Ensure that the flow of materials for production and finished goods adheres to lean management principles.
  • Coordinate the transfer of raw materials to Contract Manufacturers to support production timelines.
  • Create and maintain performance scorecards for Contract Manufacturers, engaging in monthly reviews to drive performance improvements.
  • Ensure production activities meet or surpass established cost expectations.
  • Oversee the reporting of operational Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Act as the primary liaison for:
    • Production accruals versus actuals
    • Maintaining accurate and compliant production documentation
    • Ensuring data integrity in production records
    • Compliance with tolling fee structures
    • Daily, weekly, and monthly KPI reporting requirements
  • Develop and sustain a well-resourced team, conducting interviews, training, coaching, performance evaluations, and addressing disciplinary matters.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Accounting, Natural Sciences, or a related quantitative field from an accredited institution.
  • Four years of experience in Supply Chain, Strategic Account Management, or Procurement within a Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG), Food, or Beverage context, demonstrating progressive responsibility and professional growth.
  • Alternatively, a Bachelor's degree coupled with eight years of relevant experience in Supply Chain, Strategic Account Management, or Procurement in a CPG, Food, or Beverage environment.
  • Must reside within 50 miles of the designated office or be willing to relocate independently.
  • Ability to adapt to fluctuating production schedules and work varied hours, including potential additional shifts, weekends, and holidays as operational needs dictate.
  • Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and safety protocols within Contract Manufacturer facilities, utilizing checklists and maintaining organized workspaces.
  • Exhibit strong multitasking abilities.
  • Demonstrate effective teamwork skills as well as the ability to work independently.
  • Maintain consistent punctuality and attendance, managing time and resources effectively to ensure safety and accuracy in job performance.
  • Foster a professional and respectful demeanor towards all colleagues, vendors, partners, clients, and visitors.
