Position Summary

The Finance Operations Manager will play a crucial role within the Finance department, engaging with all personnel throughout the organization, including senior management and departmental leaders. This position will report directly to the Assistant Controller and will be significantly involved in the management and documentation of the company's expenditures and those of its subsidiaries, including:
  • Overseeing the Corporate Amex reporting and employee reimbursement processes (utilizing Concur)
  • Serving as the third level of approval for employee expense submissions to ensure compliance with company policies, including accurate receipt attachment and client allocation
  • Following up with users who have outstanding submissions (as necessary)
  • Acting as a resource for employees with inquiries regarding expense allocation policies
  • Functioning as a Concur expert for the organization and resolving issues as they arise
  • Generating detailed reports on employee expense submissions for the CFO as required
  • Assisting the Assistant Controller with annual audits of corporate subsidiaries
  • Executing monthly expense allocations to clients in line with contractual agreements and governing documents
  • Maintaining and reconciling specific balance sheet and general ledger accounts for our four entities, including the preparation of quarterly workpapers
  • Conducting research and analysis on expense variances
  • Providing support for the budgeting process related to specific vendors and expense categories as needed
  • Possessing the capability to create ad hoc reports and analyze key expense-related areas as necessary
  • Exhibiting critical thinking skills and the ability to escalate issues to the Assistant Controller when appropriate
  • Participating in departmental projects and contributing to the overall strategic plan of the department
Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance

- At least 7 years of experience in a finance-related role

- Demonstrated ability to perform under pressure and meet deadlines

- Familiarity with SAP Concur (expense reporting)

Preferred Skills

- Advanced proficiency in Excel

- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics NAV (Allvue)

- Background in financial services is advantageous but not essential

- Strong organizational skills and accountability with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

- Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment and with other internal departments

- Comfort in handling large data sets with attention to detail
