Position Overview:

HVAC Technician - Various Shifts Available

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive Preventative Maintenance Checks and Services on standard package and split unit HVAC systems. This includes inspecting and repairing belts and pulleys, cleaning condensate drain lines, and testing the performance of compressors and motors.

• Perform general repairs on steam and hot water boiler systems, diagnosing airflow and ducting issues.

• Utilize refrigerants safely and in compliance with EPA regulations for standard HVAC systems.

• Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, or system failures in HVAC systems, including belts, compressors, and circuitry boards.

• Complete preventative maintenance and repairs as per work order specifications.

• Conduct service and asset inspections as required.

• Utilize technology effectively (tablet, smartphone) to access and complete work orders, including service notes.

• Generate and submit Service Reports along with Quality Inspection images and documentation.

• Foster a positive relationship with clients, ensuring customer satisfaction through timely communication and support.

• Attend safety meetings and complete necessary safety and compliance training, adhering to all relevant codes and company policies.

• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent certification in Trades (Electrical, HVAC, Plumbing, etc.).

• 5 to 10 years of experience in commercial or industrial HVAC service.

• S-1 Contractor or S-2 Journeyperson license for Unlimited Heating, Piping, and Cooling preferred.

• Candidates without a license will be considered if they show the capability and willingness to obtain an S2 license.

• Ability to understand and follow safety policies and procedure manuals, and to communicate effectively in both individual and group settings.

• Knowledge of OSHA standards and company safety policies is essential.

• EPA Universal certification required.

• Must possess valid certifications, licenses, and a clean driving record.

Work Environment:

Employees will work in environments requiring safety equipment such as steel-toed shoes, hearing protection, and eye protection. Compliance with OSHA guidelines, including lock-out/tag-out and HAZCOM protocols, is mandatory. Work hours are determined by business needs and contract schedules, and candidates must be able to manage stressful situations while maintaining professionalism.
