Job Overview
Auro Hotels is in search of a meticulous and committed Area Sales Coordinator to oversee their three hotel properties. The primary goal of the Area Sales Coordinator is to enhance room revenue by boosting the productivity of current special, corporate, travel agent, consortia accounts, and group bookings in collaboration with the Sales Manager(s).
Key Responsibilities
- Manage both transient and group activities.
- Create strategic action plans to attract business.
- Establish and nurture relationships with essential lead-generating sources, including third parties and the sales organization.
- Conduct site visits and hotel tours; host qualified clients. Attend client events and special third-party gatherings to foster relationships and secure business leads.
- Devise innovative strategies to attract and retain business.
- Utilize resources to research and identify new and existing business opportunities.
- Exhibit self-motivation and an entrepreneurial mindset.
- Prepare customized client proposals for group programs.
- Solicit new and existing accounts to achieve or surpass revenue targets through various outreach methods, including telephone calls, outside sales visits, site inspections, and written correspondence.
- Pursue opportunities in untapped corporate markets focusing on individual transient sales efforts, including travel agencies and the wholesale segment.
- Represent the property at local hotels and other special events. Participate in sales and marketing initiatives as required.
- Communicate clearly and effectively to ensure understanding.
- Manage multiple tasks in high-pressure situations while demonstrating strong organizational skills.
- Possess the professionalism and confidence necessary to effectively represent the hotel and fulfill the responsibilities of the role.
- Maintain organized records for all corporate and group accounts.
Experience and Education
A college degree is preferred; however, a high school diploma along with 2-3 years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience is acceptable. Experience with Marriott brands is preferred.
