Scripps Media, Inc. is a leading media company based in Cincinnati, Ohio, seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Sales Operations Coordinator to support our Sales division at KMGH.

The Sales Operations Coordinator will work closely with the Sales Manager to assist the Growth & Retention Account Managers or Acquisition Account Executives in all tasks associated with the Acquisition, Retention, and Growth processes.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prepare and manage sales presentations.
  • Aid in the creation of sales performance reports.
  • Actively contribute as a team member to support the retention and expansion of advertising accounts and prospects, including customer outreach and appointment scheduling.
  • Provide comprehensive sales assistance to the designated team, including:
  • Entering advertisements into the ad order system, assisting in the collection and preparation of ad copy, and maintaining account records while ensuring exceptional customer service.
  • Calculate and effectively communicate advertising rate packages to clients and prospects.
  • Collaborate with sales personnel to identify and rectify any billing discrepancies before the month's end.
  • Accurately process client billing adjustments within the same month as disputes arise.
  • Foster teamwork through effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Participate in sales training and strategic planning meetings.
  • Investigate and resolve issues related to accounts, ensuring satisfactory outcomes for both the company and clients.
  • Assist the Sales Manager with various special projects, including production schedules and interdepartmental communications.
  • Manage daily clerical tasks such as filing, answering inquiries, drafting correspondence, and calculating rates for customer quotes.
  • Organize and distribute advertising materials and sales reports promptly.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service.
  • Attend and engage in training and planning sessions.
  • Comply with company policies and performance standards.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • 0-2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Some college education preferred.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Proficient in PowerPoint, with the ability to creatively utilize graphics for presentations.
  • Strong customer service abilities.
  • Capability to read, analyze, and interpret sales demographic data and creative layouts.
  • Proficient in generating reports, business correspondence, and presentations.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to respond effectively to inquiries from managers, colleagues, and clients.
  • Ability to perform calculations related to advertising rate packages.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
  • Willingness to learn new software applications, including ad order entry and customer relationship management systems.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Competent keyboarding skills.
