Position Overview
Schedule: 5:00 PM - 1:30 AM, Monday - Friday with rotating weekends

Role Summary:

The Patient Admission Specialist II is tasked with ensuring the accurate and prompt processing of patient admissions, which includes gathering demographic information, verifying insurance details, and entering this data into the TDS System.

This role involves creating financial records for patients, securing necessary signatures, and providing essential hospital information to patients and their families. The specialist will interact with patients, third-party payers, and review organizations to confirm eligibility and authorization for hospital services. Additionally, the role may require identifying alternative financial resources for services and assisting with Medi-Cal/CCS applications, including meeting with parents to clarify benefits and make financial arrangements.

Minimum Qualifications:
- 2 years of prior registration experience preferred.
- 6 months of experience in insurance verification preferred.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills preferred.
- Strong accuracy in data collection is highly preferred.
- Excellent communication skills are essential.

Education Requirements:
High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.

Compensation Information:
$37,232.00 - $61,953.00

CHLA values the unique contributions of each team member. The starting pay for successful candidates will vary based on factors such as education and relevant experience.

The pay scale mentioned is generally applicable to candidates who meet the specified qualifications and requirements for this position. Additional compensation may be available for candidates who exceed these qualifications.
