Business Development Director

BMO Financial Group, the 8th largest bank in North America, seeks a seasoned professional to join their Liquidity Specialty Group. As a Commercial Senior Lead Relationship Manager, you will focus on creating relationships across our footprint, emphasizing deposits, cash management, commercial cards, and fee income. The ideal candidate will collaborate with a tight-knit team of sales professionals experienced in relationship building.
This role drives growth initiatives for BMO through significant business development and exceptional management of key client relationships. You will maintain a record of revenue generation from new customers and existing portfolios while adhering to internal control standards, including audit, regulatory, and compliance policies.
Key responsibilities include developing new business by contacting prospects and clients, cross-selling Bank products and services, participating in community activities to increase brand visibility, and effectively troubleshooting to ensure a high-quality client experience. Additionally, you will collaborate with the team and other units/areas within the bank, advise clients on liquidity management, and develop and manage Commercial banking relationships.
The successful candidate will possess between 5-7 years of relevant experience and a post-secondary degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience. Strong knowledge of bank products, processes, and systems, as well as excellent communication, collaboration, analytical, problem-solving, influence, and data-driven decision-making skills are essential.
This position offers a salary range of $87,000-$161,400, paid bi-weekly, with opportunities for performance-based incentives and bonuses.
