INSURANCE SALES CONSULTANT

Join a thriving family-owned business within the Capital Area, where we offer a fulfilling, supportive, and financially rewarding career. DeNooyer Auto Group is seeking a licensed sales consultant in NYS Property & Casualty to join our rapidly expanding independent insurance agency.

This position does not require cold calling; all leads are generated from our sales department, which sells over 400 vehicles monthly, and our service department, which engages with 100 customers daily. The potential for success is vast with DeNooyer's established customer base and consistent flow of clientele.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional customer service while selling insurance products to clients.
  • Identify and cultivate opportunities to enhance sales by building and maintaining strong client relationships.
  • Prepare and present weekly/monthly sales summaries and reports to management.
  • Address inquiries from insured clients and prospective customers.
  • Handle applications and renewals efficiently.
  • Manage miscellaneous changes, billing inquiries, endorsements, and cancellations.
  • Review accounts prior to renewal and offer recommendations for coverage upgrades.
  • Cross-sell additional lines of business and refer leads for Life and Retirement products.
  • Grow and maintain business through product sales, cross-selling, and renewals.
  • Deliver post-sale customer service and resolve any service-related issues.

We value proper phone etiquette, a friendly and outgoing personality, and a strong sense of character and integrity.

While a P&C license is preferred, we are willing to license and train the right candidate. We provide post-licensing training and support to ensure success for those new to the insurance industry with sales experience.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required.

NYS Property & Casualty personal lines license (or the willingness and capability to obtain one).

Compensation includes an hourly base rate with monthly commissions on new written premiums.
