Site Front Desk Lead

Fair Haven Community Health Care is seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Site Front Desk Lead to join our team. As a key member of our front desk team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient experiences, ensuring seamless operations, and contributing to the overall success of our healthcare organization.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain positive relationships with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure a pleasant and efficient experience.
- Supervise and direct front desk staff, providing coaching, guidance, and support to ensure excellent customer service and operational efficiency.
- Conduct audits and quality checks to ensure compliance with policies and procedures, and identify areas for improvement.
- Counsel patients on payment arrangements, insurance coverage, and eligibility for sliding scale programs.
- Provide accurate information and referrals to patients regarding FHCHC services and programs.
- Manage patient flow, including connecting walk-ins to clinical services, handling late arrivals, and no-shows.
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's Degree preferred.
- Medical office experience with a minimum of one year of customer service experience.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish required.
- Certification as a Certified Application Counselor through Access CT Health (training can be completed while in the position).
This is a Category III—Low Risk Position, working in an office environment with no exposure to bloodborne pathogens. Physical demands include walking, bending, sitting, standing, writing, reading, telephone use, data input into computer, and pulling medical records. Mental demands include ability to cope with changing priorities under potentially stressful conditions.
