Position Overview

As the Director of Asset Management, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing a diverse portfolio of hotels, ensuring optimal performance and value enhancement. This leadership position is integral to the strategic direction of our asset management initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Portfolio Oversight: Manage the market, operational strategies, and capital allocation for a selection of hotels.
  • Strategic Planning: Collaborate with the Investments team and Segment leadership to create and maintain a comprehensive strategic plan for each asset.
  • Capital Planning: Assist in formulating a 5-year capital investment strategy that aligns with the operational needs and long-term vision of the properties.
  • Budget Management: Review and authorize the annual operating and capital budgets for each hotel.
  • Market Analysis: Stay informed on market trends and conditions impacting the assigned portfolio.
  • Operational Collaboration: Work closely with hotel management teams to enhance operational efficiency and drive net operating income through effective revenue management and cost control.
  • Capital Improvement Recommendations: Propose and oversee capital improvement projects that yield strong returns on investment.
  • Disposition Leadership: Lead the process for asset sales when necessary, ensuring a strategic approach to maximizing returns.
  • Reporting and Benchmarking: Ensure accurate and timely asset and portfolio-level reporting, presenting actionable insights to leadership.
  • Team Development: Mentor and guide junior team members, fostering a culture of learning and accountability.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in hotel asset management or related fields.
  • Strong analytical skills with a proven track record in enhancing hotel operations and profitability.
  • A solid financial background, particularly in real estate deal structures.
  • Experience in managing capital improvement initiatives.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly.
  • A willingness to travel as needed.
