Position: Senior IT Asset Data Analyst

Work Arrangement: Fully Remote

Role Summary:

The Senior IT Asset Data Analyst plays a crucial role in the strategic oversight of IT asset information within the organization. This professional will leverage advanced analytical skills to extract, cleanse, and derive insights concerning the integrity, precision, and other essential characteristics of asset records. The analyst will pinpoint trends that may lead to deviations from established policies and processes, collaborating to propose data and/or procedural correction strategies. Additionally, this individual will scrutinize and manage established exception reports to uphold asset data quality and uncover areas for enhancement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate the quality of asset data for all Software and Hardware assets in ServiceNow, encompassing capital assets.
  • Identify pertinent data sources and systematic processes to uncover data discrepancies, compliance issues, and trends.
  • Utilize data visualization techniques to present trends, challenges, opportunities, and issues.
  • Work alongside technical teams, business analysts, and process stakeholders to relay findings and formulate remediation strategies.
  • Design and disseminate reports, including compliance, KPI, and trend analyses.
  • Engage in continuous improvement initiatives related to data or processes.
  • Support enhancements in IT asset management and automation, particularly in inventory and asset oversight.
  • Contribute to the development of a robust IT Asset Management (ITAM) program by identifying deficiencies and influencing ITAM governance standards.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience as a Data Scientist or Data Analyst.
  • Expertise in data mining, mathematics, and statistical analysis.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and MS Power BI, with experience handling large datasets.
  • Familiarity with ServiceNow (including HAM Pro, SAM Pro, and CMDB), Splunk (preferred), and PowerBI (preferred).
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Understanding of the System/Software Development Lifecycle and Project Management methodologies.
  • Knowledge of Finance and Procurement processes (accounts payable, depreciation, net book value, fixed assets).
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuous process improvement.

Note: This position operates on a standard schedule of 9 AM to 5 PM EST. Candidates are not required to reside on the East Coast to be eligible for consideration. There is potential for role extensions and possible conversion with the client.
