Position: Senior IT Asset Data Analyst

Role Summary:
The Senior IT Asset Data Analyst plays a crucial role in overseeing the strategic management of IT asset information within the organization. This position requires advanced analytical skills to extract, cleanse, and derive insights regarding the health, accuracy, and essential characteristics of asset records. The analyst will pinpoint trends that may lead to deviations from established policies and processes, collaborating with stakeholders to propose data and process remediation strategies. Furthermore, this role involves analyzing and managing predefined exception reports to uphold the quality of asset data and uncover areas for enhancement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate the quality of asset data for all software and hardware assets within the ServiceNow platform, including capital assets.
- Identify pertinent data sources and establish repeatable processes for detecting data exceptions, compliance issues, and trends.
- Utilize data visualization techniques to present trends, challenges, opportunities, and issues effectively.
- Work collaboratively with technical teams, business analysts, and process owners to communicate findings and develop remediation plans.
- Design and distribute reports, including compliance, key performance indicators (KPI), and trend analyses.
- Contribute to ongoing improvement initiatives related to data and processes.
- Support enhancements in IT asset management and automation, particularly in inventory and asset oversight.
- Assist in the development of a robust IT Asset Management (ITAM) program by identifying gaps and influencing governance standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience as a Data Scientist or Data Analyst.
- Strong proficiency in data mining, mathematical concepts, and statistical analysis.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and MS Power BI, particularly with large datasets.
- Familiarity with ServiceNow (including Hardware Asset Management Pro and Software Asset Management Pro) and Splunk (preferred), as well as Power BI (preferred).
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Outstanding analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle and Project Management methodologies.
- Knowledge of finance and procurement processes, including accounts payable, depreciation, net book value, and fixed assets.
- A strong inclination towards continuous process improvement.
Note: This position is fully remote and follows a standard 9 AM to 5 PM EST schedule. Candidates are not required to reside on the East Coast to be considered for this role. There is potential for extensions and possible conversion with the client.
