We are in search of a Salesforce Marketing Cloud Email Developer to become a vital part of our Global Rental Digital Marketing team. The ideal candidate should possess a passion for digital marketing, demonstrate self-motivation, attention to detail, and exhibit strong problem-solving skills. A solid technical foundation in Salesforce Marketing Cloud, coupled with a comprehensive understanding of customer experience and journey design, is essential. Candidates should be well-versed in email and SMS campaign workflows, deliverability best practices, Journey Builder, Automation Studio, and deployment methodologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute and optimize comprehensive email marketing campaigns from start to finish.
  • Collaborate with the broader digital marketing team and stakeholders to synchronize an email calendar and manage associated projects.
  • Assist in the oversight of timelines and communication strategies across diverse audience segments.
  • Lead the development and production of email and SMS/mobile initiatives.
  • Configure and manage Journeys and Automation Builder effectively.
  • Work alongside Digital Analysts to ensure campaigns are launched with appropriate tagging, source tracking, and overall link structures.
  • Collaborate with Campaign Management, CRM, and IT Teams to facilitate audience lists, data flows into and out of SFMC, and the tracking/reporting of campaign outcomes.
  • Guarantee that Journeys are executed punctually and without errors.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or equivalent experience accepted in lieu of a degree.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in email marketing, development, or related fields.
  • Proficiency in Salesforce Marketing Cloud is mandatory.
  • Strong understanding of HTML and CSS coding specific to email.
  • Familiarity with email testing and optimization techniques.
  • Ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders to effectively manage expectations and build trust.
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving capabilities focused on achieving business objectives.
  • Capacity to coordinate, prioritize, and complete multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
  • Experience with project management tools, preferably Jira.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
  • Experience with mobile-first and responsive design email templates and strategies.
  • Familiarity with marketing tagging and tracking platforms such as Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, and Adobe Analytics is preferred.
  • Experience with third-party email tools like Litmus, Sparkpost, and MovableInk, along with a working knowledge of their optimal use.
  • Basic proficiency in AmpScript or similar personalization languages.
  • Understanding of SQL is advantageous.
  • Salesforce certifications are beneficial but not required.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of compliance principles including CAN-SPAM, GDPR, and other email regulations and best practices.
