What You Will Do

As the Process Lead within the MBU (Mini Business Unit), you will collaborate with MBU and various departmental teams to design and enhance manufacturing processes aimed at improving business outcomes sustainably. The Process Lead will report to the MBU Lead in the designated area, sharing responsibilities across all shifts and working closely with the Manufacturing Excellence Coordinator to ensure process standardization across the site. This role involves utilizing MBU hourly and salaried resources while coordinating continuous improvement initiatives within the MBU and across functions to promote effective daily management, process-oriented problem-solving, warehouse reorganization project management, loss reduction, standards development, and employee engagement. You will identify continuous improvement opportunities, initiate improvement projects, coordinate data analysis, manage training, oversee documentation, and track the implementation of improvement activities. This position is designed to rotate with the Shift Lead Position across any shift.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with the MBU Lead and Manufacturing Excellence Coordinator to foster a cultural shift that sustains continuous improvement efforts beyond project activities, embracing a lean operational approach.
  • Assess existing processes to identify improvement opportunities, ensuring the execution of the plant's zero-loss strategy focused on mitigating all types of losses within the MBU. Evaluate and prioritize potential enhancements based on anticipated gains and required efforts.
  • Collaborate with MBU and departmental teams to conduct loss analyses and support the development and execution of the master plan, implementing systems and tools to address key losses within the MBU.
  • Work alongside the Manufacturing Excellence Coordinator and other MBU teams to explore and implement the latest continuous improvement methodologies and digital strategies.
  • Assist in developing programs, standards, and training materials while ensuring their continuous improvement, accuracy, and effectiveness. Provide training and coaching to MBU teams.
  • Contribute to enhancing the overall operations value stream by engaging in and leading continuous improvement and problem-solving initiatives.

Qualifications

REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: Associate degree

Degree Field: Manufacturing/Management/Continuous Improvement/Engineering

Work Experience: 3+ years

Supervisory Experience: 1+ years

License/Certifications: Lean/Six Sigma Yellow Belt Certification or equivalent

Related Work Experience: Proficient in planning, organizing, and managing teams in warehousing/material handling, with intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, & PowerPoint) and Microsoft Teams. Strong verbal and written communication, presentation, and training skills, along with attention to detail, problem analysis, effective time management, and multitasking abilities. Capable of communicating with diverse audiences, planning, organizing, prioritizing, and managing projects or programs while maintaining effective working relationships and demonstrating critical thinking.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: Bachelor's degree

Degree Field: Manufacturing/Lean Management/Engineering

Work Experience: 5+ years

Supervisory Experience: 3+ years

License/Certifications: Lean/Six Sigma Green Belt Certification or equivalent

Related Work Experience: Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, & PowerPoint), Microsoft Teams, and MS Power BI. Strong verbal and written communication, presentation, and training skills, with a focus on attention to detail, problem analysis, effective time management, and multitasking capabilities.

Work Environment and Physical Demands

Capable of lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, installing, or removing objects weighing between 10lbs-50lbs.

Ability to reach and grasp objects with hand-eye coordination.

Capacity to stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

Ability to maintain static positions for extended periods of time while standing.

Prolonged dexterity and fine motor skills required for machine operation.

Ability to identify and distinguish colors and shades.

Proficient in communicating information both orally and in writing.

Ability to receive and comprehend information through oral and written communication.
